Scott, a 25-year supporter and national presenter on DIVERSITY topics, and best-selling author on TOLERANCE, became a WHISTLEBLOWER against the ILLEGAL and RACIST PROGRAMMING and ENABLING behavior of the HR Chapter he founded in 1986, the Human Resource Association of Central Ohio, or HRACO. As a result, he was not just cancelled by HRACO, but also by the Ohio SHRM State Council, the Ohio State SHRM Conference, where he had spoken 20 times across his career, and several SHRM chapters across the state. When Scott explained the situation to SHRM’s CEO, Johnny Taylor, Johnny promised to use his influence and intercede on Scott’s behalf in order to right this unfair and cancel culture treatment, but then reneged on that promise.

That is when Scott started working with FAIR … and the Make Ohio FAIR Chapter was born in October 2024.

FAIR is the only nonpartisan national organization dedicated to advancing the civil rights and liberties of ALL FELLOW HUMAN BEINGS.

In recent years, the far political right and the far political left have both lost their way throughout Ohio and across this country. Stereotyping others, bigotry and promoting illegal tactics to attain their goals has become common place. Hate speech against anyone is wrong. FAIR and Make Ohio FAIR believe it must stop now.

In the immortal words of Martin Luther King, Jr. on May 19, 1963 in a “Letter From A Birmingham Jail”:

“Injustice ANYWHERE is a threat to justice EVERYWHERE.”

That is the essence of BOOMERANG BIGOTRY:

If I throw a boomerang of bigotry at you, someone will certainly throw that boomerang back at me or someone who looks like me.

Bigotry only escalates the creation of more bigotry.

YES … ALL HUMANS are welcome at FAIR and Make Ohio FAIR.
